Every year since 2008, WDW News Today has hosted a charity drive at the end of November to raise money for the Toys for Tots Foundation. To date, we have raised over $80,000 for this amazing organization with donations through our website and those made during our annual live program during the holiday season. This year, we are once again asking you to be a part of this holiday tradition where we continue Walt Disney’s dream and try to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
Over 60 years ago, Walt Disney became one of the original sponsors of the Toys for Tots foundation, which ensures that every underprivileged child receives a toy during the holiday season. Walt and his animators personally designed the original Toys for Tots train logo that is still used today and the first poster created for Toys for Tots.
In this spirit, WDW News Today is putting on a 50-HOUR live broadcast to raise money for Toys for Tots. Head to our YouTube channel now and subscribe so that you get notifications when the event goes live! You’ll also be able to catch select shows, including Deep in the Plus and WDWNT The RPG: Tokyo Rift, on our new channel, Unplanned Downtime! We hope you will join us beginning at 9PM ET (7PM ET for the pre-show) on November 26, 2021 when the broadcast begins and will help us by making a donation to this great cause at toys.WDWNT.com.

Friday, November 26th

Saturday, November 27th
12 AM – 2 AM: WDWNT The RPG: Tokyo Rift
In this live second session of this role playing game campaign, the Freelance Adventure company follow up their investigation at the Hurricane Point Lighthouse before entering the Mysterious Island to investigate the strange goings-on at Captain Nemo’s Nautilus.
2 AM – 4 AM: Ride Rehab Watches – WDWNT Throwback
They’re back by unpopular demand to watch and riff along to old WDWNT videos including Taylor And The Whatnot, young Tom Corless riding rides, and 6 year old Tyler’s 1997 WDW Home Movies! Tubbs the goat, Alicia, and other surprises are in store!
4 AM – 6 AM: Tokyo Disney Watch-along
Join Spencer for some classic Tokyo Disney Resort offerings.
6 AM – 8 AM: Watchalong – “The Magic of Christmas at WDW” & “A Day at EPCOT Center”
8 AM – 10 AM: Miss Alison & Desi LIVE from Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Desi and Miss Alison will be live steaming from Animal Kingdom, showing you some fearsome animals and festive decor.
10 AM – 12 PM: Cooking with Nick & Nana – The Handwich, Orange Bird Flip, Spicy Honey Chicken, and Gyoza Dogs

We’ll be petting and playing with some cool cats and kittens who are all available for adoption.
11 AM – 1 PM: Lattes and LEGOs with Kayla and Lauren
Watch Lauren and Kayla attempt to build legos and spill the la-TEA as they answer your diehard questions about who they even are while struggling to build a toy castle made for a 5 year old.
1 PM – 3 PM: Emma Cooley LIVE from the Magic Kingdom
3 PM – 5 PM: Nerd Alert
5 PM – 6 PM: Boxed In with Eric Morton and Jill Diffendal
Boxed In features WDWNT personalities Eric Morton and Jill Diffendal opening packages in a kitchen under the watchful eye of the Cookie Boss, Leigh. This simple, casual show has a relaxed “happy hour” vibe. Live episodes usually also feature the unboxing of a bottle of bourbon. The stage manager for Boxed In is a troublemaking little Pomeranian puppy named Poppy.
6 PM – 8 PM: Dinner with Tom and Friends
8 PM – 11 PM: Live Auction Grand Finale
