REVIEW: Would You Try the Disney World Cupcake Based on a CONTROVERSIAL Candy?

All Hallows Eve is quickly approaching!

Boo to You!

It seems like just yesterday we were trying all the new Halloween treats in Disney World, checking out the first night of Boo Bash, and scoping out all the spooky merch. But, we’re now a week away from Halloween, and even though we’ve already had a ton of devilishly delicious desserts, scary spirits, and frightfully fun food, there are even MORE festive treats popping up around Disney World. So, let’s find out if a returning Halloween treat is as good as it was last year!

Say “BOO!” to the Candy Corn Cupcake from BoardWalk Bakery at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

This is a vanilla cupcake filled with white chocolate candy corn mousse and topped with baker’s cream. If you’re not familiar, baker’s cream is pretty much just vanilla-flavored whipped cream, which was dyed to look like candy corn!

It’s so cute!

As with most cupcakes in Disney World, the icing was piled high on this little guy and topped with two little chocolate Mickey ears. We ended up trying this cupcake twice because our first cupcake was a little too moist and wobbly. The second cupcake had a perfect consistency, so we’re thinking we just got a weird one the first time. Both were delicious, though!

New year, (pretty much) same cupcake

We actually tried the same cupcake last year at BoardWalk Bakery, and the wonky googly eyes on our ghost made us giggle!

You good, dude?

This year’s cupcake was really good — even if you’re not a huge fan of candy corn! The filling is made with whole pieces of candy corn, and the edges are topped with crispy pearls. Overall, we thought this cupcake was a win!

Candy Corny Cupcake

If you want to try out this cupcake for yourself, you can get it for $5.99 at BoardWalk Bakery. But, you better hurry, because it’s only available until Halloween October 31st! Stay tuned to DFB as we keep you updated on all things Halloween at Disney World.
