How Much Does Disney’s Cheapest Sit-Down Restaurant Cost?

Disney World has a lot of awesome restaurants and some are more well-known than others.

Have you heard of The Fountain?

And if one thing is true of Disney restaurants, they can be EXPENSIVE. This is especially true if you’re dining with the whole family! We’ve taken a look at the most expensive restaurant in Disney World, but what’s on the other end of the spectrum? How much does Disney World’s CHEAPEST sit-down restaurant cost?

First of all, we need to determine which restaurant is actually the cheapest, which is easier said than done. Disney World’s pricing scale ($ to $$$$) isn’t foolproof and it’s difficult to know which restaurant is actually the cheapest across the whole menu.

The Fountain Restaurant

So, we took a look at which table-service restaurants Disney has marked in the $ price range ($14.99 and under), and then compared their menus. In the end, the restaurant with the cheapest overall pricing was one that you might not have visited before.

Seating at the Fountain

On average, The Fountain at the Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel is likely the cheapest table-service restaurant in Disney World! This spot is a cozy diner with classics like burgers and yummy ice cream treats. We’ve definitely enjoyed past visits to The Fountain, but how much does this cheap table service restaurant cost?

We’re going to take a look at what the cost would be for a family of four with one starter to share, two adult entrees, two kids’ meals, four desserts (it’s an ice cream shop, after all), and four beverages.

Fountain outside of the Dolphin Resort

First up, let’s look at pricing on the starters! At The Fountain, you can snag a variety of Soups and Starters including Chili with Cheese, Soft Pretzel Bites, Onion Rings, and more. These items range in price from $4.50 to $8.50 with an average price of $6.40.

Pretzel Bites and Dip

For the main course, adults can choose from a selection of Salads and Entrees like the Fountain Signature Burger, the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese, the Asian Salmon Salad, and more. Entree portions range in price from $12 to $18 with an average price of $16.20.

Philly Cheesesteak and Fries

Kiddos have nine different choices including options like a Cheeseburger, Mac & Cheese, a Pressed Turkey Patty Melt, and more. These are all priced at either $9 or $11 with an average price of $10.75.

Display Case

This is an ice cream joint do the desserts are a BIG deal. You’re looking at Shakes & Other Frozen Drinks, Ice Cream Specialties, Ice Cream, and Desserts for between $3 and $9.75 (not counting the MASSIVE seven-flavor Fountain Funnel). The average price of sweets here is $6.20. And finally, non-alcoholic Beverages range between $4 and $5 with an average price of $4.50.

Milkshake of the Month

So, for a family of four purchasing one starter ($6.40), two adult entrees ($16.20 each), two kids’ meals ($10.75 each), four desserts ($6.20 each), and four beverages ($4.50 each); we’re looking at a total meal cost of around $100 or $25 per person for the three-courses.

Yep, those are still Disney table service prices so it’s going to be more expensive than what you might be used to at home. In comparison to other spots though, you’re still getting off cheaper.

Ice Cream Panini Close Up

Plus, you can save even MORE by skipping starters, beverages, and desserts (good luck with that last one at this ice cream spot!) and sharing meals! And, yep, those tips apply at most Disney restaurants.  Technically, if everyone ONLY got the cheapest entree option, a family of four could dine here for just $42. Overall though, if you really want to save, stick to quick service options or even consider dining off of Disney World property!
