Review: A Returning Disney World Snack Is Much Sadder Than Before

It’s been a busy day in Magic Kingdom, and we’re stopping for a quick bite!

Cinderella Castle

While far from authentic Italian, Pinocchio Village Haus is a great place to eat if you’re in the mood for a carb overload. From pizza to pasta to bread, they’ve got it ALL. And now, we’re here to try a returning menu item.

If you’ve visited Pinocchio Village Haus recently, you may have had some of their breadsticks! Well, these actually weren’t the OG bread up for grabs here. Wayyy back when, this restaurant offered pesto knots, which were replaced by regular knots and then those breadsticks. But guess what? The knots are BACK, baby!

Garlic Knots

You’ll get 2 garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce for $4.99. We do wanna point out that these knots are quite a bit smaller than the old ones here, or than the ones you can get at Pizzafari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But let’s give ’em a taste!

Give us ALL the bread.

These were fluffy and buttery on the inside, as all  knots should be. However, there wasn’t much garlic flavor in there at all. In fact, the taste was a bit bland — which was disappointing, considering just how delicious the old pesto knots were. If you want real garlic-y goodness, you’ll want to pass on these.

Buttery, but not a lot of garlic!

These garlic knots are a safe bet if you want something small and carb-y. But if you want a larger option, the breadsticks are still on the menu, too (for the same price!). Remember, these garlic knot newbies are much tinier than their predecessors!

Garlic Knots

As usual, Pinocchio Village Haus didn’t wow us, but these little knots could make for a good quick bite. We’ll keep bringing you the latest Disney food news, so stay tuned to DFB!
