Photos! Construction Near the Ratatouille Ride in Disney World Pushes Forward

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the area surrounding the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction coming to the France pavilion in EPCOT at Walt Disney World, and just waiting for the day when we’re able to experience this new space.

Just few days ago, we shared some photos with you of the Gusteau’s sign in this area all lit up! Très magnifique! Today, we took a trip past this area on the Disney Skyliner to see what other changes we could spot.

The side area of this expansion looks similar to how we’ve seen it before, with a lot of the lampposts and even planters already in place. It looks like a few more planters have been filled and there’s a bit more construction going on in the center walkway over by La Crêperie de Paris.

Speaking of La Crêperie de Paris, we could see the sign up at this spot and some construction going on by the front of the store. We can’t wait to try ALL the snacks from this spot when it opens up in the future.

Down that center walkway, it looks like construction is still ongoing and parts of the walkway appear to have been blocked off for that work.

Back by the Gusteau’s sign, it looks like some of the railings on the buildings have been finalized and things are really coming together nicely. We love that weathered look that’s been applied to the chimneys and other areas.

Previously, we had seen construction workers on the lower roofs in some of this area, but we didn’t see them in those areas today. Some construction equipment still remains in the area, however, so it looks like they’re still actively working on quite a few spots in this area. We also noticed that some more window frames have been placed, giving the whole area a more complete look.

Overall, this expansion area looks like it’s closer to being done each time we pass by it. Although this construction was not listed as one of the ones being given “priority” by Disney, we can see that progress is still being made.

We’re excited to see what it looks like once everything is finalized. This expanded area was originally scheduled to open in the summer of 2020, but it is unclear when it will now be opening. We’re on the lookout for more information on this area, and the whole EPCOT transformation, so be sure to check back for more updates.

We asked our readers: Do you think EPCOT’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open by the end of 2020? Here’s what they said.
