PHOTOS: Disney World’s Caribbean Beach Resort Has Officially REOPENED!

Another Disney World resort hotel reopened today and we’re stopping by to check everything out.

Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is the most recent Disney World resort hotel to reopen and, of course, there are new health and safety measures. So, let’s take a look at all the changes in Caribbean Beach!

When we arrived, things look much the same as they did prior to the closures outside the hotel. There is some added health signage and everyone is in masks, but they are still smiling (we think!). Cast Members waived at us with Mickey gloves to welcome us back.

There were plenty of greeting Cast Members inside as well to help guests have the easiest check-in possible.

We noticed that the lobby had several spots marked as unavailable so that guests can remain socially distanced when sitting around the lobby.

Disney is encouraging Online Check-In for the resort hotels so that guests can skip the front desk. This is available and posted at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

Mobile Check In

The general “Health and Safet Reminders” sign is posted around the general areas.

Overall, the resort was pretty empty today, much like the others when they opened.

But you could still grab a seat and watch the Skyliner go by. And yes — the Skyliner is available! You can read more about the changes to the Disney Skyliner Gondola system here.

Centertown Market

We took a look over at Centertown Market to see the changes in the quick-service dining spot.

Physical distancing markers are placed in areas where guests may need to queue and there are directional arrows to help keep traffic moving smoothly.

The seating within the restaurant is all spaced six feet apart. Remember, guests seating at dining tables are able to remove their masks while they eat.

This alcove has the zone stickers to keep parties separated in the space.

Sebastian’s Bistro

Sebastian’s Bistro remains closed.

However, we did notice that there were markers in place near the entrance of the restaurant where guests might wait when it DOES reopen.

Pools

The pools were open and a lifeguard was on duty! You’ll notice that there is signage asking guests to not move the pool chairs. They have been appropriately spaced for social distancing.

The pool bar, Banana Cabana, was open with social distancing signage and QR code menu options.

Caribbean Cay

The island across the bridge, Caribbean Cay was open today, as well, with rocking benches and gazebos available for guest use.

Unsurprisingly, the playground was closed in line with the policy at the rest of the resort.
