This Magic Kingdom Attraction Is Closed For the Second Day in a Row!

Disney World has been open again for a few weeks now, and the rides have been the main attractions.

Magic Kingdom

Most rides are OPEN in the parks. Though there are some expected closures, there have also been some UNEXPECTED closures like the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover, and now Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, too!

For the past two days, Carousel of Progress has not been running and has been marked as “Temporarily Closed” on the My Disney Experience app.

This Morning’s Wait Times

Well, we do like the sound of “temporary!” We’re not sure what the reason behind this closure is, but hopefully, the beloved and historic attraction is up and running again soon.

Present Wait Times

Stay tuned to DFB for ALL of the latest updates about rides and attractions in Disney World. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Carousel of Progress, and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s spinning again!

These New Danielle Nicole x Marvel Food-Themed Bags Are a TREAT!

It’s a little less than two weeks past the day that Avengers Campus was supposed to open at Disneyland Resort on July 18th.

And while we were looking forward to munching on foot-long candy bars and quantum pretzels right about now, we’re still excited to try these delicious treats when Avengers Campus does open at Disney California Adventure! Disney has stated that shortly after Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park get back on their feet, we can expect to see (and eat!) all the new goodies of the new Marvel-themed land we’ve been priming our tastebuds for. But, until that day comes, we’ve got just the Marvel foodie fix for you!

Handbag designer Danielle Nicole has just shared a sneak peek of two new Marvel-inspired designs the brand will be releasing next week! Check out this Captain America Donut Bag! It looks just like the superhero’s shield…if it was frosted with icing and covered with red, white, and blue sprinkles! Um, and does the strap even say, “Donut Give Up”? My word, this one’s going to be hard to pass up!

©Danielle Nicole

But don’t make up your mind just yet! Not until you see this Captain America Backpack that looks like a melty popsicle! This bag is so sweet, we think even Captain America would be proud to tote his gear around in it.

The new Marvel X Danielle Nicole collection will be released on Wednesday, August 5th at 11AM EST!

NEW ICE CREAM ALERT! We Celebrated BIG TIME With the New Birthday Cake Dazzler Sundae at Häagen-Dazs in Disney Springs!

Häagen-Dazs is celebrating its “diamond” anniversary with a brand new flavor and a brand new sundae!

Häagen-Dazs

After hearing about it’s 60th Birthday treat, we stopped by Häagen-Dazs today at Disney Springs to see the new Birthday Cake flavor for ourselves, and to try the new Birthday Cake Dazzler Sundae!

Keep in mind that this special ice cream flavor (and sundae) is a little under-the-radar! While we were perusing the menu, we noticed that the new flavor was nowhere to be found!

Häagen-Dazs Menu

Their flavor board also does not include Birthday Cake (although there are plenty of other delicious flavors to try!).

Häagen-Dazs Flavors

The only sign we saw indicating the new flavor was on the window! But, I mean, that’s all the encouragement we need!!

Häagen-Dazs 60th Birthday Cake Flavor

So, we immediately ordered the Birthday Cake Dazzler Sundae! This beauty is vanilla cake batter ice cream mixed with yellow cake pieces, chocolate brownie batter frosting swirl, and topped with whipped cream and rainbow birthday sprinkles. If that wasn’t yummy enough for ya, the entire sundae is layered on top of a bed of whole buncha vanilla sandwich cookies.

Birthday Cake Dazzler Sundae

All of those flavors add up to one sweet birthday treat! The combo of cake batter and real cake was killer, and the cookies at the bottom added a nice mixture of textures! We only wish there were slightly fewer cookies. As much as we love a good cookie, we could have used more of that birthday cake ice cream instead!

Be sure to grab one of these beauties before they’re gone! It costs $9.99 and can be found at the Häagen-Dazs kiosk on the West Side of Disney Springs.

In the mood for even MORE ice cream? Check out what we’ve discovered at Beaches and Cream by clicking here!

We last visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier this week, but we’ve already got a bunch of updates for you from this action-packed theme park! Lights, camera, action… !

Merchandise Update at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Celebrity 5 & 10

If you’d told us we’d be spending all of our hard-earned money on spatulas today, we wouldn’t have believed you! But now that so many of us have taken up baking, what better way to add a pinch of Disney magic to your new hobby? Some of the new kitchen spatulas were downright enchanting like this new Rose Spatula from Beauty and the Beast!

Rose Spatula

We were also happy to take this Buzz Lightyear Spatula for a space ranger spin! Even the handle is themed after Buzz’s spacesuit!

Buzz Spatula

We also saw a lovely Cinderella spatula!

Get more delicious deets on the new Character Spatulas here!

Mickey’s of Hollywood

Meanwhile, we spotted another new pair of Mickey…Gloves??… at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Last week we were all about the Tower of Terror Bellhop Minnie Ears (and we still are!) but this week we’re VERY intrigued by these new Mickey Glove Ears!

Mickey Glove Ears

Click here to read more about the new Mickey Glove Ears!

These ones debuted in Tokyo Disneyland, and they’ve finally come stateside! Okay, so maybe these new ears are a bit avant-garde, but if you think you can pull them off, pick a pair up for $24.99!

Tatooine Traders

We spotted a new-to-us Star Wars Shirt for adults at Tatooine Traders. It was putting off some serious retro vibes with the red, orange, and gray accents it had on its sleeve. The stylish Darth Vader graphic was also pretty groovy!

Grab this vintage-inspired cutie for $36.99 and be sure to check out some of the other throwback character tees we’ve spotted at the parks recently here!

Vending Machines Near Entrance

Didn’t pack enough disposable masks? Don’t worry — Disney’s Hollywood Studios has got yo’ back! Just before you go through security, you can stop at this vending machine for all your disposable mask shopping needs!

Vending Machines at Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Entrance

We’ve noticed this machine on a few of our past visits, so it isn’t technically new, but it is super handy to know about!

Vending Machine

If you and your crew would like to have a few disposable face masks in reserve, definitely hit it up before entering the park! Of course, you can return to it later in the day if need be, but you’ll have to pass through the checkpoints again.

Popcorn Carts

Lastly, it’s with great sadness we must inform you Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially removed the BB-8 Sippers from their popcorn cart menu boards. We know, we know! We’re going to miss this roly-poly little dude too!

BB-8 Sipper

Click here to learn more about the missing BB-8 Sippers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

We’ve seen the BB-8 Sippers get replaced before, but last week they ran out of them, and at it appears they don’t have a BB-8 Sipper shipment coming in based on him being taken completely off of the menu. We’ll let you know if we see them return in the future, but for now, we hope you had the chance to snag one!

Well, friends, that’s all for this edition of What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — for now! We’ll be back soon with more updates for you, so sit tight! In the meantime, you can check out our video tour of the newly reopened Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort here!

PHOTOS: Construction on Entrance to “The Grid” Continues Programming at TRON Lightcycle / Run in the Magic Kingdom

Not much has changed since our last update on TRON Lightcycle / Run at the Magic Kingdom, but construction is still carrying on slowly. These steel beams will eventually support the illuminated canopy that will cover the outdoor part of the coaster. From another angle, we could see show lights attached to the slanted beams. Gray paneling continues to be added to the show building. Still more remains to be added around where the track enters the building on the […]
