New Reopening Guidelines for Walt Disney World Resort Guests

Walt Disney World Resort has updated their resort information page this evening to make future guests aware of some of the changes that will be taking place when the parks and resorts reopen.

Guests traveling to Florida to stay at Walt Disney World will need to adhere to the travel restrictions currently in place at the time of travel. As mentioned above, guests who wish to enter a resort must have a room reservation, and, for those visiting for the day, a dining reservation.

Today’s updates also state that a hotel reservation does guarantee theme park admission. Guests will need to have a park reservation and valid ticket media in order to enter a park.

Guests ages 2 and up must wear a face covering at the resorts.

Resort guests with symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with someone who has or might have COVID-19 without quarantining, or who are currently under a 2 week quarantine will not be allowed to enter Walt Disney World Resort. Guests will also be subject to additional screening procedures.

Among the events not being held during the first phase of reopening will be pin trading with cast members with lanyards, marina rentals, arcades, campfires, special classes, Wonderland Tea Party, and the Electrical Water Pageant.

At merchandise locations, in-person limited-edition product releases and new product launches will be halted for the time being. Products will still be available via shopDisney.com. Pin trading will be limited to pin boards at certain locations, but pin trading with cast members will temporarily not be allowed.

Be sure to check our WDW Resort Reopening Information and Updates page for the latest details.
