According to the Orlando Sentinel, deputies arrested 27-year-old Andrew Hall of Mentor, Ohio, early Monday after a drunken rampage at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.
Earlier in the night, he had been at the Trail’s End Restaurant and was drinking. He then attempted to leave on a bicycle. After witnessing him fall a number of times a restaurant manager took a golf cart and tried to assist the guest. The man then ran toward the golf cart and crashed through the plastic windshield. He then took the golf cart and crashed into the pier on Bay Lake.
Hall then jumped into the lake and swam away from shore, but it was soon noticed that he was struggling to stay up. A marine unit officer jumped into the water and pulled him into his boat. Hall was charged with grand theft, criminal mischief, and disturbing the peace at a public lodging establishment. He is currently being held on $2,500 bail. Officers said that the damage to the pier and golf cart was around $5,000.
