Remember the old “Golf Resort” at WDW, or “The Disney Inn?” Well now it’s called “Shades of Green” and is an Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC).
It was transferred from the Walt Disney Company on February 1, 1994 to the Department of Defense to provide R&R for our nation’s brave service members, their families and certain other eligible persons. Specific eligibility criteria must be met before a guest may make a reservation.
But for 4 days non-military guests can enjoy the 19th annual Shades of Green Oktoberfest. This event will include German food, beer, music, and games. So get on your lederhosen and get read to do the Chicken dance!
