An alligator snatched a 2-year-old boy Tuesday night in a lagoon at Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort. The boy is still missing as of early Wednesday morning. Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said the child was “wading … along the lake’s edge at the time that the alligator attacked.”
“This is still a search and rescue operation,” said Jeff Williamson, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. “We are very hopeful. We are hoping for the best.” “Right now we’re going to bring in some fresh eyes and continue with the search,” said Jeff Williamson, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. “Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. We just want to keep searching and searching and searching until we can’t search anymore,” Williamson said.
Teams searching for the toddler found four gators, but no sign of the child.
