As you may remember from an earlier story, a new trellis with retractable awning and shades was being constructed at the outdoor seating area of Aulani’s Makahiki Restaurant. Well it’s done and it looks great! Every other section has a either and open grate or a white lighting panel. The open grate has retractable horizontal waterproof curtains that will unfold outward to protect dining guests from rain. The lighting panels have small light accents that reminds one of stars. All the sections have vertical curtains hidden inside of the beams. They can be dropped down when the sun is low, or as needed during a windy rain. So what was just a patio, has now been transformed into a Lanai!

Looks fantastic.
Thanks for the view.
